About us

IT Pharma Validation Europe was founded in 2006 by Markus Roemer, Tom Kaufmann, Peter Beach, and Benoit Duchiron. The idea was to create a plattform for information exchange and an up-to-date regulation repository on one single web site.

So from there we were setting up this web site on the domain www.it-validation.eu. Additionally we provided several services to the members like a WIKI page, forums, document management etc. In 2008 and 2009 we were setting up different local and global meetings, initiatives, and events for our members. The mission and vision of IT Pharma Validation Europe was to build up a community for quality management and computer system validation.

With more than 4500 visitors per month, about 10.000 downloads in total and about 80 published articles we have seen this as very successfully. Now we have more than 400 registered members at IT Pharma Validation Europe. On the other hand most of the web site visitors, about 99,7 percent, were only reading or downloading information without giving any input back to the IT Pharma Validation Europe community. The worst scenario was in 2010 when our non-profit and community web site was hacked and a phishing site was installed on our domain. In 2009 we tried to get a European Union promotion fee for a meeting event  in 2010 - unfortunally our request was declined (for really weak reasons).  Over the years we were also not able to find any sponsors or support by other firms or organisations. Our donation channel brougth exactly 0 € in.

We still believe that this community with its mission and vision is a good thing - so we were migrating the old domaín to this new one. The web site design was updated and simplified, as far as possible all articles and information were migrated, some downloads were transfered, and performance & security improved.
